NYC Graphic Design Field Trip, 2020

In the final year of Maya's undergraduate at Coastal Carolina University, she entered a contest for a graphic design field trip to New York City right before the start of the Covid pandemic lockdowns. The contest was to design New York City-themed postcard, and she was fortunate to be one of the ten students selected for the trip.

They also traveled to Brooklyn to visit the design parlor, Funeral. Two designers at Funeral kindly shared insightful advice and wisdom on establishing a career as a designer with the students.

The trip concluded with an intimate group tour of the design studio, Pentagram in New York City.
